Day 0 of 75 Hard: Coming Back Into Alignment

There’s a version of me that would wait.

Start next week.
Prepare a little more.
Ease in a little bit slower.

But I’m not choosing that version today.

Tomorrow, I start 75 Hard.

And this time, it’s not about going harder.

It’s about coming back into alignment.

What Actually Happened This Winter

Every year, my body shifts a little in the winter.

Less sunlight.
Less movement outside.
A slower rhythm.

Typically, I gain around 10 pounds.

This year, it was 25.

And that’s what made me pause.

Because the interesting part is—I wasn’t completely off.

I was still eating relatively well.
High protein. High fiber. Lower cholesterol.
I was still working out—two times a day, four days a week.
Once a day on the weekends. Sometimes twice.

From the outside, it looked like I was doing the “right” things.

But something wasn’t landing.

Why I’m Starting 75 Hard

I’m not doing this to punish my body.

And I’m not doing it to chase a number on the scale.

I’m doing this to realign.

To bring my habits, my structure, and my daily actions back into sync with the life I actually want to live.

Because you can be doing all the “right” things…

and still be out of alignment.

This Isn’t New for Me

I’ve done 75 Hard Challenge before.

So this isn’t me jumping into something new or extreme.

This is me coming back with awareness.

I already know I can do the workouts.
I already know I can follow through.

That’s not the question.

The question is:
Can I build my days in a way that actually supports the version of me I’m becoming?

What Was Actually Off

It wasn’t effort.

It wasn’t a lack of movement.
It wasn’t even fully the food.

It was how my days were structured.

Things were getting done—but not in a way that worked together.

Meals weren’t always timed well.
Hydration was inconsistent.
Energy dips weren’t being supported.

It wasn’t that I wasn’t trying.

It’s that everything wasn’t aligned.

What Stopped Me Last Time

The interesting part?

It wasn’t the workouts.

Most people will tell you the outdoor workout is the hardest part.

For me—it was the water.

Drinking a gallon a day.

It sounds simple… until your day fills up.

Clients. Workouts. Life.

And suddenly it’s not about effort—it’s about structure.

That’s where I fell off.

Not because I couldn’t do it—
but because I didn’t build my day in a way that supported it.

What Alignment Looks Like This Time

This time, I’m keeping it simple.

I’m eating in a way that feels natural.

Seasonal foods.
Whole foods.
Food that my body actually recognizes.

High protein.
High fiber.
Lower carb.
Lower cholesterol.

Not extreme. Just intentional.

I’m focusing on removing most of the chemicals and preservatives—
not perfectly, but consistently enough that my body can actually respond.

Because for me, this isn’t just about weight.

It’s about balance.
Hormones.
Energy.
How I feel day to day.

I’m also grounding this in structure that actually supports me.

I have a monthly embodiment calendar
so I’m not guessing what I need each day.

And I’m following a seasonal menu
so my meals are already decided, aligned with what’s in season, and easy to follow.

That way, I’m not relying on willpower.

I’m supported by design.

How I’m Moving

My workouts are going to flow with my body.

Some days will be vigorous.
Some days will be more precise.

Some days I’ll lift.
Some days I’ll do yoga.
Some days I’ll swim.
Some days I’ll walk.
Some days I might take a class.

I’m still showing up.

But I’m not forcing the same intensity every day.

I’m moving in a way that supports where I actually am—
not where I think I should be.

And I’m Still Living My Life

There will be days I’m with friends.

Days I’m out to eat.

Days that aren’t perfectly planned.

I’m not avoiding those.
I’m not restricting myself from having a good time.
And I’m not starving myself to stay “on track.”

I’ll just make good choices.

Choices that feel good in my body.
Choices I don’t have to overthink.
Choices I can actually sustain.

What This Actually Is for Me

This isn’t about being strict.

It’s about being aligned.

Aligned with how I eat.
How I move.
How I structure my day.
How I take care of myself.

Because I’ve already proven I can work hard.

Now I want it to work.

The Goal

Not perfection.
Not restriction.
Not forcing results.

The goal is to feel like my habits match my life again.

To feel steady.
Clear.
In control of my day.

To feel like my body is responding—
not fighting me.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Day 1.

And I’m not going into it trying to be perfect.

I’m going into it aligned.
